Soil Exchange
Day Laborers, students from the University of Texas El Paso, and the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez will collaborate to perform a soil exchange at the proposed locations. Earth will be removed from the land north of the U.S./Mexico border and exchanged with soil removed from the land south of U.S./Mexico border.
Soil will be analyzed in the laboratories of participating Universities. The results of the tests will be documented and presented to the public.
All physical labor will be conducted by day laborers. Laborers will be paid each hour for the duration of the project. This includes waking and sleeping hours. All rest will be compensated for.
A plaque at each site will display a time line documenting the geological and political histories of the soil.
